After reading reviews on Yelp and
elsewhere online I had high expectations of PDXInspections. Josh easily exceeded
those expectations I highly recommend his services.
The seller was a friend of mine and I wanted a neutral third party to take a
look so we could land on a price that was fair. I stopped by towards the end of
the inspection and he took the extra time to go over things with me even though
he'd already explained them earlier to the seller. Josh found things that the
owner wasn't even aware of (cosmetic repaint of original front right fender).
Both the seller and I walked away impressed his work and I felt very comfortable
paying on the high end of Kelly Blue Book.
Josh is a consummate professional & an excellent communicator. He quickly
resolved a scheduling miscommunication via email after not reaching me on my
cell in a matter of minutes.
I've already recommended him to friends and colleagues who are shopping for used
cars. |

I was looking for vehicles in the PDX
metro area for a deal and contacted Josh. Turns out, the vehicle I wanted was no
longer available so I kept searching, but lucky for me, I stayed in contact with
Josh. I found another one I liked and asked him to do the inspection for me. It
was reasonably priced, done quickly and near my home, so I had zero
inconvenience.
I would highly recommend Josh to anyone who wants to deal with someone who is
honest, fair, and stays well connected with you along the way. I will definitely
be telling my friends and co-workers about PDX Inspections. Being a female who
has zero ideas about cars, he easily gained my trust and I knew working with him
wouldn't disappoint. |

This is about as good as it gets when it comes to convenience in a used car inspection. I had a car on loan from a dealer and e-mailed Josh about coming out to my residence to take a look at the vehicle. Josh e-mailed back in what seemed like 0.4 seconds and called me to set up the appointment. He actually met me at my office about an hour after my e-mail, picked up the keys, spent about an hour inspecting/test driving the vehicle, e-mailed me his detailed and thorough report, and brought the keys back to me.
His report picked up on a number of issues I had not noticed, and for $129 he did an unbelievable job. I know who I am calling for my next used car purchase. |

READ THIS REVIEW!! I bought a classic truck in Portland OR from Ebay and need an inspection the week before Christmas. I emailed Josh from PDX and he was busy so he referred me to another inspector in the Portland Area. I scheduled an appointment with the other inspector to look at the truck. When the other inspector arrived to inspect he was rude to the dealer and very demanding. He had a very difficult time communicating with the dealer and ending up leaving the inspection before he finished. When I talked to him later he had no information and did not do the inspection. The dealer was frustrated and I was frustrated so I called Josh back and he fit me in the same day! Josh was extremely knowledgeable and a true professional. He got me the report the same day and even walked me though all the details. I don't think I would have bought the truck if Josh had not gone back to do the inspection. Bottom Line do not buy a car without a professional like Josh from PDX Inspections looking at it first! |

I don't care how much you think you
know about cars, PDXinspections will catch important things that you would have
missed, I'm sure of it. I'm thrilled - I can now purchase my sweet ride with
confidence.
Josh answers emails with lightning speed. Dealers tried to tell me not to send
him because their cars are "certified." But to paraphrase Tommy Boy, I can take
a ___ in a box and mark it "certified", I got spare time.
Think you're all set to buy because you checked the Carfax and you kicked the
tires yourself? Think again - you need PDXinspections. |

I was looking for a vehicle for work and came across Josh's reviews on Yelp. We gave him a shot and he is now going to be the only person I go to for all future vehicle purchases.
He was thorough, timely, a good communicator, and very professional. I have a fairly good working knowledge of automobiles but Josh blew me out of the water with everything he found. I was very impressed.

I was ready to buy a used car from a dealership but Josh found half a dozen issues that concerned me, only some of which the dealership was willing to fix, so I walked away. The second car he inspected me for several weeks later turned out to be the one. Loved his prompt service, prompt communication, and clear and detailed report on the car. And I really appreciated his answering my follow-up questions! |

I was looking at a 2000 Mercedes 230C last week, and found the PDX Inspections ad on Craigslist. Because he appeared to have good reviews, I decided to set up an appointment with Josh at PDX Inspections. That turned out to be a great idea, and money well spent. Josh was extremely thorough and took his time to do his comprehensive set of checks...even though the weather was cold, wet and miserable. I was impressed with his automotive knowledge, and his unbiased opinions. (He does not care whether you buy the car or not, so you will get the straight scoop from him.)
Turns out, he found about $800 worth of maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. With his written report in hand, this allowed me to negotiate $800 off the car price. So in essence, this inspection did not cost me money...it SAVED me $680! I will absolutely use Josh again when I buy another car, and would have no problem recommending him to my friends and family.
Getting an inspection like this done prior to buying a used car is a complete no-brainer, and Josh is the guy you want to have do it. |

First and foremost, thank you for the excellent service. While we haven't yet decided whether or not to purchase the 2005 Tahoe you inspected for us, the information you provided was extremely valuable. There is no way we would have been able to determine the potential problem with the heads or head gasket without your technical expertise. Josh was able to use his 5 gas exhaust analyzer and actually pick up signs of carbon
dioxide in the coolant overflow tank. And, as it turns out, there was a Technical Bulletin from GM about this problem and the potential for porous heads, which have been known to crack. This is a $3000-$4000 repair job, which not only would have drained our bank account, but would have left us without a vehicle for two weeks. We now have the information we need to negotiate with the owner and/or have the vehicle inspected further for the suspect heads. In a word.............INVALUABLE! |

Josh inspected a salvage titled ' 96 Honda Accord for me that he tried to warn
me away from, even searching out similar cars for me to look at first. I was in
too much of a hurry to get a car and decided to go ahead with the inspection
since I already met the sellers and test drove it. Well, he was right. I looked
into the other cars he told me about and contacted the seller of the one he
pointed out in particular, a well maintained '94 Accord. After doing some
logistical wrangling he was able to inspect the second car for me and, once
again, finished the report very quickly. I bought the car the same day

If you are buying a used car, make sure Josh inspects it first. For a moment there, you may feel cheap and want to skip this extra cost, but let me tell you it is well worth it. In my case, Josh's research revealed that the dealer had not disclosed a damaged frame in the used car I was planning on buying!!!! Carfax was clean but Josh found out that the car had a frame damage. Needless to say he saved me thousands and thousands of dollars. brings a full set of tools, a compressor (to raise the car), computers, and scan
tools. If you're skeptical that an onsite inspection can be

until you see Josh at work. I got all the information I needed to make a

I feel that he checked ever possible thing, he even checks the paint to make
sure it's equal around the car. If their is an issue he tells you what that
means and if it needs to be taken care of immediately or if it can wait. Overall

When you are spending 10 to 15 thousand dollars on a used car, you want to know about everything that is lurking inside, underneath, in the engine,, etc. Josh is the reason I decided to buy a rig I was interested in; His inspection for just over $100.00 gave me the confidence i needed to pull the trigger on the purchase. Now I know what needs to be done to assure the vehicle stays reliable. He noted that the timing belt had not been changed as per maintenance schedule---a somewhat spendy proposition that helped negotiate the price down. Josh was also prompt at responding to inquiries, and sticks to his promises; "Be there to inspect at dealer at 2:30--" "You will have a report by 5 PM". He followed through on both. thought was a great used car (2003 Accord). I was test
driving the car for the day and called PDX
Inspections to see if they could do an inspection on
very short notice.. I spoke with Josh and he arranged to
inspect the car within 2 hours of my call! Josh did a very
thorough inspection and answered many questions that I had
about the car (he was able to tell me more about Accords
than the car dealer). At the end of the inspection Josh was
able to tell me that the car was in great condition, no
mechanical problems, and everything was in good working
order... I was able to purchase the car that day w/o

thorough inspection of the vehicle and emailed me a very
nice and easy to read report the same day that covered just

| I was a bit uneasy about the vehicle I was considering purchasing. The carfax report provided by the dealer indicated the title was clean but I wanted to have an inspection done to put my mind at ease. I received a call from Josh within 30 minutes of sending my email to him and he made it out to dealership that same day to do the inspection on the 2006 Honda Accord I was interested in. I had my inspection report back via email before 5PM that same day. His very thorough report indicated that the vehicle had been in a significant front end collision with airbags deployed. The body work in his estimation was not done well and the exhaust and air conditioning systems were not working likely due to the collision. He also advised that the vehicle would need new tires and brakes almost immediately. Thanks to Josh I was able to avoid making a very expensive mistake |

| Josh inspected my 2002 M5 at the car dealership prior to buying it. It's a complicated car with lots of features, but he took his time to review and test everything. He emailed a 3 page report within 20 minutes detailing the cosmetical and mechanical condition of the car. It needed a clutch, new tires, and an instrument cluster, which I negotiated into the final purchase price.
I've used him for 2 cars and will not buy a car without his opinion in the future.

with my schedule. he came right on time and got down to
business immediately, which isn't to say the service was
impersonal - quite the contrary. from my experience, josh is
super genuine and a great guy, especially when he's looking
at a car: he was very, very thorough w/ body issues and
highly attentive and well-informed w/ the mechanics and
recommended service issues to maintain the car's warranty.
josh's services are definitely - without a doubt -

His website and pre-inspection internet search provides a lot of information and peace of mind...even before the inpsection. I recently purchased a car
out of state with the help of the report from PDXInspections.com. Josh was my

| I learned of Josh from searching the Internet and, like many of you, read all of his positive reviews. I found a car on Craigslist that sounded interesting, but it had a few things that raised my suspicions. It was also across town. I signed up for an inspection late Tuesday evening. Josh confirmed early Wednesday morning and was inspecting the car by 10am that day. The report was in my e-mail by 1pm same day, just as promised. I can’t say enough good things about Josh and his inspection

passenger's power mirror was not adjustable, that one of the
tires was mismatched, and that the brakes were due for service.

be read and understood. He even provided a free CarFax report.
